In a special statement to ANHA's agency, the administrator of the Internal Security Forces for the camps in Jazira canton, Abdul Rahim Hassan Antar, said: "We have noticed the movements of ISIS cells within the camp, and we have received information about attempts by some individuals to escape from the camp, in addition to an increase in violent incidents aimed at spreading chaos outside the camp."
Antar added that many attacks targeting the sites of humanitarian organizations and Internal Security Forces points inside the camp had been monitored, "and these attacks were clear and public."
Inspection operations are ongoing to mitigate threats.
Antar explained that "all suspicious tents have been inspected, and the inspections are still ongoing intensively," confirming that the goal of the campaign is to limit the activities of ISIS mercenary cells and to stop any step that might pose a threat to security in the region.
He added, saying: "The targets of this campaign are the individuals who seek to revive ISIS activities once again."
The cells are trying to hide the evidence during the security operations.
In the context of the security campaign, Antar indicated that the campaign began in the "second and seventh sectors "Jihadists' women", noting that ISIS mercenary cells are trying to hide all documents and evidence that might indicate their activities during the inspection and combing operations.
